Cleveland's Inn on Coventry for brunch

Snowy sundays are such a drag; you just want to hibernate/nest and not leave the house. Unfortunately, if we did this we would have had to make do with mustard and anchovey sandwiches. :(

Anyway, we decide to break out the shovels/scrapers and get the hell out of dodge and get ourselves to the usually busy Inn on Coventry and we are glad we did. There was no wait, the service was friendly and efficient, and the food was better than I remeber. (which was already good)

I had the eggs mando, which is basically eggs benedict with avocado. YUM! My only complaint was the texture of the hash browns. They were flavorful, but I like them crisp. (a minor complaint, at best)

My wife had the biscuits and gravy and was veryu happy. Not to sound like a misogynist, but she had never eaten there and I wasn't about to let her order yet ANOTHER westerm omelette...and she was glad I spoke up.

ANYWAY............the highlight was a lemon and ricotta pancake we shared as a sort of desert. It was just the right thickness, hot, the butter was warm, and the balance of flavors was perfect!!!!!

The exp[erience was especially nice because when I was a student as Case I used to go there twice a month and it had been years since I had been. *sniffle* ;)
