The Plough and Stars was supposed to open at 11:30 on Saturday for brunch, but the owner/chef/bartender? arrived at the door at 11:35 saying that brunch wouldn't start until noon because of the snow. Bummer.
So we moved over to City Girl Cafe - My gf and I had some frittata and italian-style french toast - Two big slices of italian bread, made up as french toast, then grilled, which was an interesting variation. The frittata eggs were nicely shimmery, not overcooked as you often find with frittata.
Both accompanied by herbed red potato home fries. Excellent cappucchino, if smaller than usual sizing these days. Prices a buck more than you might expect, but not unreasonable.
Table next to us ordered a pizza - it looked and smelled fantastic - really good looking homemade crust. Definitely will stop back for the pizza.
Don't hear much chatter about this place - Seems like a nice option in the area.
