I have a large pot of cow peas going this afternoon, as it is a chilly rainy day here in New York. I am making Puerto Rican style rice & beans. I didn't like the way the cilantro looked today at the Hispanic market, so I opted for a package labeled cilantro y culantro instead. It has the same smell as cilantro, only stronger. It is a flat, non curly leaf. I have used culantro before, but I am wondering if what I bought today is a cross between the two herbs?
