What is everyone on this board making for Christmas Eve dinner? I am feeling uninspired by traditional heavy meat dishes (ham, goose, etc.), maybe because of a Thanksgiving hangover. I am cooking for 8-10 people and won't have any help, and I only have the 24th to do it, so I can't get too crazy.
My family doesn't really have any traditions for Xmas eve, either, so I am pretty free to do whatever I want.
I was thinking of doing something seafood. Maybe lobster? I was going to serve caviar before dinner, since my mother loves it and it's something my family never splurges on. But I just feel kind of lost for the main course, and none of my go-to cookbooks are inspiring me.
