We will be in Toronto for 2 days this coming weekend, staying at the Marriott on Bloor. While we live in NY, we travel to Toronto frequently & love it. We already have reservations at our 2 " Toronto musts" restaurants...Chiado on Sat. night & Lai Wah Heen for Sunday dim sum brunch. Since we are splurging with Chiado, we still need a restaurant for Sunday night, & would prefer one that is casual (can go in jeans/sweater) and reasonable pocke$-wise, (since we're already splurging at Chiado). One of us does not eat meat (chichen, seafood is ok), so a steak joint won't work. Other than that we love seafood, italian, moroccan, middle eastern, pretty much anything else (just not interested in going to Chinese, Thai, etc.). We are looking for a new place to try, so I'll name the places we've been to already that we don't want to repeat, Joso's (good, fresh seafood, expensive, seating too cramped together), Sotto Sotto (ok, not "wow'ed"), Verona (just ok), Boujadi (have been twice. I've been reading the board & would welcome any/all suggestions...in addition, can you also tell me about Trattoria Giancarlo, Laide, Marinello's (the Wedge) and Mildred Pierce? Thanks so much Chowhounds!
