My fellow Chowhounds, the next couple months or so I have the good fortune of being able to eat relatively freely in LA for lunch and/or dinner. The only requirements are that I stay around $50-$60 per meal, that the restaurants be suitable for business diners, and that the restaurants are located within 10-15 minutes driving distance from Century City. (So Beverly Hills, Westwood, West Hollywood, etc. would all be fine.) I will probably never have another opportunity like this to enjoy LA dining - so I need your advice!
So far on my summer lunch journey, I've been to: Spago, Echigo (wonderful fish, but I'm not feeling the rice), and The Belvedere. Others on my list include: L'Orangerie (not sure if that's even within the driving distance), Campanile (ditto), Matsuhisa (toeing the budgetary line), Crustacean, and Wa.
Any other suggestions? Sushi is always great, but all other cuisine suggestions are welcome (as long as they fit within the constraints of budget, atmosphere, and distance above). (I think the Echigo trip indicates how flexible I can be with the "business-appropriate" requirement.)
