Chowhound Call to Shop

There was an article in the NYT this morning about shops in Soho being particularly hurt by the September 11th attack, one that was mentioned specifically is one of my favorite stores, Broadway Panhandler, on Broome and Wooster. Broadway Panhandler is the cooking supply store to end all cooking supply stores -- amazing collection of knives, pots and pans, ramekins, cake pans, bamboo steamers. If you need to buy some nifty kitchen gadget (or have had one in mind for a while) or a gift for a cooking friend, I would HIGHLY recommend shopping there. The selection is more varied and the prices are much better than Williams Sonoma. I would hate to see this place close, or even downsize.
