HELP! I need chocolate this weekend!

anna | Dec 9, 200509:30 PM     6

I'm making my holiday candies this weekend and I DON'T HAVE MY CHOCOLATE! I called Spun Sugar in Berkeley last weekend to try to get 11 lb each of Guittard milk and semisweet chocolate disks. I told them I needed the chocolate this weekend and was told that they will let me know by mid-week if they'll have any. I checked in on Wednesday and was told that they expected the order on Thursday. Called Thursday and was told today. Called today and was told Monday! I could wait till Monday, but what if it doesn't come in on Monday!

Anyway, I don't know of other places in the Bay Area that would carry Guittard or similar quality chocolate in large quantity, in disks or chips(I used Ghiradelli 10 lb blocks in the past, but the husband would really prefer not having to chop up chocolate this year.), for a reasonable price (Spun Sugar quoted me at about $3.50/lb). My prefer location would be San Francisco and the Peinsula, but I'm willing to cross a bridge if I have to. Also, I want to be able to pick up the chocolate this weekend.

Thanks in advice for your help!
