Cho Cho San

Just wanted to give a thumbs up to Cho Cho San in Montgomeryville. I did a takeout order last night and was very impressed (at 8:00 there was only one empty table). They probably have the largest maki selection of any sushi restaurant in the area. Their "house special" maki menu has 41 selections on top of the 28 on their regular menu.

We had the sashimi special. While it was not the best sashimi platter I have ever had, it was very good (fish was fresh and tasty). It was cut a bit thick for my liking, but that's just my personal preference.

We had the spicy salmon sandwich (not sure what they put in it, but it had a nice smokey flavor to it, Phoenix roll (spicy shrimp, cucumber, crunch topped with eel, avocado and caviar) and the dinosaur roll (spicy crabmeat, crunch, seaweed salad topped with avocado and caviar). All of these were excellent and the bill was $53.
