Chinese Banquet for 15--am I missing any choices?

nooodles | Sep 1, 200512:03 PM

I'm looking for a standard (but awesome) Cantonese dinner for a dozen+ friends. Unfortunately, our head count came out to too many for one standard table, not quite enough to fill two tables. Are there any restaurants that have extra large tables?

Not that the tables are crucial. Sacrifices can and will be made for the best banquet dinner in SF within our budget. For $30/pp I assume I can get:

-appetizer tray
-some kind of seafood soup
-a mushroom/veggie/seafood stir fry
-noodles or fried rice
-a couple of crabs
-a whole fish
-walnuts and prawns (crowd pleaser; I think they'll stone me if this dish is poorly made)
-Peking duck (or at least a good roast chicken/duck)
-dessert/fruit
-we'll round out a set menu with a few a la carte items

With this fairly simple criteria, what are people's suggestions? Parc Hong Kong looks pretty good right now. Louie's California Cuisine's phone is disconnected (I checked digitalcity.com, yp.yahoo.com, and citysearch.com for the number), and Great Eastern seems more pricey than Parc Hong Kong. Kan's never FAXed me the menu I requested.

I am also considering calling Mayflower and Gold Mountain. Where else should I consider within SF? Please don't say Tong Kiang. I might get stoned for bad walnut/prawns, but I will most certainly get tarred and feathered if I suggest Tong Kiang.
