As Chicagoans we've become thoroughly spoiled with innovative and excellent cuisine, but we're headed for Napa and eager to delight in the best of what you have to offer. We are turning to you, our in-the-know California friends for guidance We've got just two days in Napa in May (ridiculously too short, but that's what we have) and while we've done our due diligence on this board and elsewhere, we're undecided.
Here's what we are considering
Redd v. Meadowoods
Terra v. Martini House
Ubunto v. Greystone (lunch)
Is Bistro Don Giovanni worth it? It looks like standard Italian fare
Is French Laundry worth the visit -- if we can get in?
What about Mustards?
Taylor's Refresher looks like a pleasant diner, but so many people mention it. What's the big deal?
We'd also love to know how to schedule our vineyard visits with the surrounding restaurants we've chosen and we'd love your input. We're staying in Calistoga.
Thank you in advance for your generosity, your help and your input.
