Chiang Mai: Is it possible to get a good khao soi at night?

mayache | Sep 2, 2015 08:43 AM

My fiancee and I have been in Chiang Mai for 3 days, unfortunately feels like we've been stuck in a number of tourist trap-type restaurants. Tonight we had planned to get khao soi noodles, only to realize that all the places listed as "best" (Lam Duan, Samer Jai, Khun Yai, Islam, etc.) seem to close in the afternoon. We then walked all the way to Aroonrai only to find they're closed until this Sunday. Ended up having a mediocre meal at Huen Phen.

Tomorrow is our last day and we'll be away during the day at the Elephant Nature Park, so lunch isn't an option. Is there anywhere we can go for dinner (street food OK) to get good khao soi noodles?
