Chelsea Market 5th Anniversary

I stumbled upon this event at Chelsea Market today. I was just in for buying some coffee at the fruit exchange and I noticed tables being set up for what I thought was a private party. When I came out of the exchange mobs were clamoring for surprisingly generous portions of free samples. It was like the dine around down town type things but everything was free. Leonidas Chocolates, Caramel Squares, bags of Cookies from Eleni's, Fat Witch Brownies.

The highlights were the rice pudding from Sarabeths, Chicken and Anduille Jambalaya from Hale and Hearty, mini ice cream sundaes from Ronnybrook, the potato pizza from Amy's, and the steak in brandy peppercorn sauce and mashed potatoes from Frank's butchershop.

Even 1 dollar fresh honeydew and cantaloupe juices which I was way too stuffed to even sip.

I can't believe I walked in for the first time thinking "I'm not going to obsess about all of the food in there, you're not hungry, just get your coffee and hot sauce and leave" I ended up eating more calories than I usually eat in a week . At least I didn't spend anything on it but I will be spending hard time on the stairmaster because of it.. Did anyone else go?
