If you have followed Chef Kelly's illustrious career, you will be pleased to know he is now serving some of his most popular early dishes from the original Freelance Café in Piermont (since sold) at his restaurants. On Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, 5-6:30 p.m., Restaurant X in Congers offers a early dinner featuring such retro favorites as: French Onion Soup Grantinee, Coconut Shrimp, Moules Mariniere with Pommes Frites, Wild Mushroom Ravioli, and Roast Ducking for two. For dessert: Chocolate Marquis, Bananas Foster and Crème Brulee are on hand, too. $35. for 3 courses.
Meanwhile, Thursday's Feast at the Dylan at X20, Yonkers, features a 3-course meal wrapped around good old-fashioned Surf & Turf. www.xaviars.com
