I know this gets brought up a lot, but I'm not your usual business traveler/convention attendee with an expense account looking for the best food the I-Drive/Restaurant Row area has to offer. I'll be attending the MegaCon (comic book/pop culture convention) the weekend of February 25th-26th, probably with a few of my co-workers from the library. None of us will have big budgets for lunches at high-roller establishments, especially after the show, so I'm looking more for cool/funky/local hole-in-the-wall joints that have interesting and good food at good values. That eliminates Emeril's, Vito's, pretty much anything "nice." Tu Tu Tango gets recommended a lot, and I've never been there, but I'd like to know what else is more in that range.
If worst comes to worst, I'll probably just hit Fuddrucker's in the Festival Bay mall, or jump back on I-4 and hit a Vietnamese restaurant off Colonial and Mills. I was just wondering what was closer at hand that isn't a chain, and isn't way out of my price range.
