We found an excellent Salon de The this January and just revisited today and found it remains excellent. Do not be fooled by the Salon de The category, the plats are trencherman sized. The menu is small and service is only for lunch. However, the plats are only ten euros including the meat and side dishes. Desserts from the patisserie are about 3 euro each. Dishes include faux filet, escalope de veau, blanquette aux herbes (veal and lamb), roast chicken, and tornedos (12 euro). Sides include 3 purees (potato, carrots, celery root), rice, saute potatoes, potato dauphine with a great cream and cheese sauce, or ratatouile. The lemon tart and the apricot tart on a pistachio cream base are fantastic. A La Petite Marquise, 50 av. de la Motte-Picquet, 75015 Paris, Tel. 0147349403. Close on Tuesday only. Very small place, about 10 tables, family run. Near the Ecole Militaire.
