While I love the vendors at the Briarcliff Indoor Farmers' Market, between parking and the crowds inside, it's really not something that I enjoy doing every Saturday. I went to go check out the Chappaqua market today, which is a fantastic alternative to Briarcliff. Though there's a little less variety with vendors, it was really enjoyable and I would return.
Great vendors include--
Cowberry Crossing- there with limited storage produce (garlic, potatoes, onions), beef, lamb, and a little pork (still waiting on the chickens!)
Taiim- the restaurant from Hastings is there with baklava, babaganoush, their excellent hummus, and a couple of other spreads. Lots of samples!
Iron Tomato- fresh mozzarella, still warm
Madura Farms- we picked up brussels sprouts, kale, ginger, sweet potatoes... they also had a nice selection of mushrooms, leeks, lettuces, tomatoes (? I guess hothouse), etc., and eggs.
Guyank- hot sauce
Picklelicious- pickles, relish
Pura Vida- got some nice looking flounder.
There are a couple other vendors, some familiar to me, some not (Honey Locust is new to me, Gaia's breath with different kinds of sausage too). It was really pleasant. Check it out!!
