Had a sensational meal at Chameleon last night, our first time there. They serve small plates: if two people share 4-6 of them, they'll dine well. Meal started with good bread and garlic-infused olive oil. Then a salad with gorgonzola really set the tastebuds to singing. After that, every dish sampled was different in saucing from every other, in every case avoiding the bland, sugary food that seems to rule in Northern Cal. Salmon was a standout. Portions tend to be small, so it's not a budget place, but we'll certainly go back. Wine tasting flights are an excellent deal here.
