Old Cast Iron Waffle Maker

Fresh_Fit_Light | Feb 13, 201809:42 PM     6

I searched but I couldn't find any similar posts. I have an Old Cast Iron Waffle Maker. I bought it because I had gotten several electric ones and they were just disappointing. I figured I'd get an old 1880's cast iron one because it would not die on me like the electric ones had.

Problem is I have an induction stove. I was going to put PAM on there when I realized it would not ever come off and I didn't want to ruin it I put olive oil on there but apparently way too much because I managed to set a fire on the induction stove and didn't end up being able to fully cook the waffle.

It has wooden handles so the oven isn't an option either. This one sits in the low to the burner. This wasn't exactly built for the world we live in now but it certainly was built to last. I am just hoping I can figure out how to make it work for me.

Does anyone have one of these? And if you do have you had any success cooking with it on an induction stove?
