Best cassoulet update?

The slight chill in the air has put me in the mood for cassoulet. I did a search and found many endorsements of Gascogne's preparation, but I'm interested in finding other options--especially an option that would deliver a very authentic version of the dish. Not that I know what really qualifies as authentic (and like anything, I imagine there are a number of authentic versions), but I have a vague sense from reading a recipe in Mastering the Art of French Cooking or some such book that the cassoulets I've had before don't really qualify. Also, a place that's a bit less pricey than Gascogne would be nice, though I'd be interested in hearing about places at all price levels.
