I was wondering if anyone knows the Duffs Wing Sauce recipe or something close to it as possible. I don't actually live in Buffalo, but I figured this might be the best place to ask. I am desperate to be able to make them at home.
It is NOT just Frank's and butter/margerine like the Anchor Bar for example - it is more of a tangy/sour sort of taste - so they may use additional vinegar (white, cider, etc.) and even Worcestershire sauce.
The sauce is also thicker and not as thin as the Anchor Bar, so possibly cornstarch is also used to make the sauce stick nicely to the wings per the first photo attached.
The Anchor Bar Wings here are more swimming in the sauce, because it's a thinner sauce per the second photo attached.
I look forward to hearing from the Buffalo Wing experts here or people who have actually worked at Duffs. I would be very grateful for any help with this.
Thank you very much.
