Cake pops - with silicone mould

narelle | May 30, 2012 08:05 PM

Hi,
I'm not a novice baker but I think the following question may give the impression that I am !

I bought one of those silicone cake pop sets, like at tastytop.com recently, and I don't know the correct way to use them. Can I just use a standard cake recipe or mix, and what would the cooking time be?

One instruction I found online said insert the sticks after they came out of the oven - but then put them back in for 5 minutes - huh? plastic?

Will they hold if I just put them at the end, and help set when they are decorated?

Thanks
Narell
