We had breakfast here on Sunday morning. They open late on Sundays, not until 10:30, but I really wanted to give them a try so we biked around Shore Road until they opened. They have a completely wonderful patio with doors that open wide for the inside, as well. The setting was very nice, not too over done, and comfortable.

We ordered a breakfast pizza, which had scrambled egg, bacon, cheese, and either spinach or basil leaves, I'm still not entirely sure which. Also we had orange juice. It was fresh and yummy orange juice. The pizza was ok, the crust was great and crisp, the combination of flavours was OK. I'd never had a breakfast pizza like that before, and I don't think I would try it again. It wasn't awful, it was just a little odd to my palate, I think. I can well imagine that their regular pizzas are really good, though. The crust was just wonderful.

When we got there they were scurrying around just opening up. The gelato they serve wasn't out in the case yet, and they only had a few bakery selections, as well. The service was a bit spotty but not bad. He was very nice just a bit scattered.

We weren't given any menus, there was only the one breakfast pizza option, which was different from what was listed on the menu on their web site (http://www.caffepregoogt.com/_fileCab...). But that's probably a function of 1) it being off season and 2) them not really being open at breakfast time but actually opening at 10:30.

We saw several people come in for coffee or espresso while we were eating, so I imagine they do a brisk business in that. I would have loved to give it a try but I'm not allowed coffee any more (and I had to have decaf back when I was allowed coffee) but it -smelled- fantastic in there. :)

I'd certainly give this place another try, and probably for lunch or dinner, instead. :)
