We originally were going to Tin's in Oakland Ctown, but it appears to have changed hands, it's some other seafood restaurant. We were parked right next to D&A and seeing that it was full (at 9 pm on Friday), I was reminded of an earlier post and decided to give it a try. Four of us ordered salt & pepper squid, a seafood casserole with fried tofu, rock cod cubes with bokchoy, and peking pork. Complimentary house soup came with the meal, all for $23.40 before tip. We even had some leftovers. Portions were sizeable. This is really a basic hole in the wall place, but service was efficient, and since it has a steady business, everything seemed pretty fresh. The squid was nicely spiced. No msg, though the seafood casserole had way more garlic than I'm used to. The pork was very ordinary but my kids were happy. For those really on a budget, there is a "happy hour" deal from 3 to 6pm where certain dishes are $2 each. For those prices, I'd go back for an early dinner and try more of the dishes.
