I don't go to Demetre's that often but when I do, I'm used to consistent quality (though not consistent portion sizes) between the Yonge and Eglinton location and the one on the Danforth. Really liked the waffle with hot fudge, icecream and fruit. But they have changed certain menu toppings (and I think a few ice cream flavours) so now the hot fudge is no longer hot--it's chocolate the hardens on your ice cream. No thanks! If I wanted that, I'd get chocolate chip icecream. I asked the servers whether people like the new toppings and I got the sense many do not. I was told the reason is "more pure" ingredients. Sounds like cost-cutting to me somehow.
