BYOB 's in vogue in Philly all Overrrated.

I personally do not understand why people are going goo goo ga ga over BYOB's, I ate at Django , Pif Chloe , Azafran, Audrey Claire and the food was all very ordinary. It all sounded a lot better than it actually was. these were over sevral visits, Am I missing something. I suspect people are succumbing to peer pressure and are afraid to dissent......Or they are just used to bad food.Byob's offer mostly quantity and not quality. i dont think places with liquor licences always have better food but I think the byob popularity is just about saving money not about uncompromised great food. I am curious to hear what people think, I ope no one is offended.
Even overtures wasnt that great and certainly did not justify the prices.
