BYOB Etiquette

Netocris | Mar 28, 2005 08:30 AM

Hello! Will be moving to Philadelphia soon, so have been reading lots of Philadelphia posts. I notice there are many BYOB restaurants in the area. There is no such thing where I live now, WV. Either a restaurant has a liquor license or it doesn't, and no place allows you to bring in beverages purchased elsewhere whether they're beer, wine, liquor, or even non-alcoholic.

How does one bring a bottle to a restaurant? Do corking fees apply? Are non-alcoholic beverages served?

Thanks for helping me not appear completely clueless when I make the move!
