Plans for Thanksgiving are very low-key but it would be great to have mashed potatoes and gravy. Since gravy is difficult to make without also making a turkey I figured I'd buy some. I think I have purchased Citarella's gravy and have been dissapointed because it was too salty -- any other suggestions? Stores near the West Village (near 6th and West 4th) or Upper East Side (77th and 3rd) appreciated.
p.s. I posted this on the Manhattan board assuming that canned gravy is obviously inferior, if I'm wrong let me know.
