I'll be going to Paris and Dordogne (first time). Where's the best place to buy fois gras? I've found a number of recommendation on CH for Paris, but I assume it's less expensive/more local selection in Dordogne? I have found a couple recommendations on these boards, Domaine de la Rhonie, La Ferme du Brusquand, and Reflets de France from Carrefours. Are there any others? Are markets (such as Surlat market) good places to purchase these?
I've also read conflicting things about whether or not jars have made it through customs (declared). Has anyone brought jars in recently? My point of entry into the US is IAD (Dulles), if that makes a difference.)
