Does this bother anyone else? No. 1, I'm not a fan of iceburg lettuce, but if it does show up in a salad I've ordered, it really bugs me to see the butt end of the head of lettuce (is there an official term for it?) sitting on the plate. It's inedible, why is it served to me? I'm paying upwards of $5 for a hard, inedible chunk that should have gone in the trash. This has happened to me at upscale restaurants and at mom and pop places. I've sent the salad back a few times, and other times I just leave the offending item on the otherwise empty plate. What do you do?
