i have an old burr grinder (wooden with a box bottom) that is "just for show".. but i'd like to put it to use. I'm thinking of peppercorns, cardamom pods, cinnamon sticks and fenugreek.. all hard spices. Does anyone have any experience using this type of grinder for spices rather than coffee? Any problem cleaning, or with leftover spices?
I do have other options - an electric coffee grinder for larger jobs, and a large mortar and pestle: Just thought it would be nice to actually USE the burr grinder if i could.
