So, to make sure that my last vist was not a total fluke, we went to Bullshead again last night for the steak dinner.
Once again the orders broke down as a gigantic buffallo burger and an aged new york strip. I immediately went and pointed out the one i wanted to the chef and told him how i wanted it.
Okay, so this time the salad bar was sort of wilted in some spots, but still tasty enough that i ate what ever was not wilted. The fries that came with the burger were great. not too greasy and they serve them with a side of mayo! The Steak was totally perfect again! the waiter was confused that i didn't want anything on it (like sauteed onions or mushrooms or even steak sauce) i finally had to tell him that i just wanted to taste the steak and again, it was perfect. fat, aged perfectly, cooked to the most perfect medium rare!
the main downfall: the baked potato wasn't so good. it tasted like it had been par baked WAY ahead of time and then finished later, so that the potato texture was more solid and wet than flaky and soft (you know how that happens sometimes....) so i couldn't get the potato to break and mash up with my fork to soak up all the juice form the steak. Ah well, no bother, i pushed the potato aside and just focused on the steak.
Oh, and i think there were vegetables on the plate, but i didn't touch them cause that was not the reason i was there.
Here is the one funny thing about the night:
The menu had this big whole diatribe about buffalo meat and how good it is for you and how the native americans that lived off of buffalo had no cancer or heart disease and lived to the avergae age of 80-90 years and that "they would have lived longer if they had proper dental care" WHAT?!?!?!?
I am confused.
the two seem so very not related and the whole comment seemed so weird to me that it has been on my mind since last night.
Has anyone else seen this funny strange piece of information on the Bullshead menu?
Anyway, have a nice day.
