Took a walk thru the new DeCicco & Sons Market in Eastchester on Sunday and the family and staff were there in full force directing customers. It has taken about a year. There was a fast moving line to get in.
DeCicco & Sons Markets have come a long way and now offer more culinary theater. The new store is no exception. Showy fish & seafood display, cheese selection appears to have grown, good looking meats, Japanese made fresh makes an appearance, cakes and baked goods, and tempting prepared foods line almost a full wall.
A new BBQ restaurant counter has been set up with seating, as yet not operational. But noticed their menu offered brisket at $22 lb. Not bad.
One thing that stood out on this trip was the open buffet stations. They have been closed at many markets due to Covid restrictions, but here they were open and ready to serve. There are tight guidelines and shields, and service at theses stations is spaced for safety. A stream of customers were taking advantage.
Have you been? Have the buffet stations opened at their other markets? What do you think? www.deciccoandsons.com
