browning meat

I love my meat. Ooh a good pot roast or corned beef or stew or ribs. [roast and ribs in beer]

But a few years ago, I decided it would be healthier [lol a slippery slope] to brown my meat under the broiler rather than stovetop in oil. The diners, lol me, have had no complaints. Anybody else do this?
