brooklyn vs. queens chinatown (20-some questions).

i dunno if this question has been posed before (and many apologies if it has), but i was wondering if there are particular differences, whether gastronomic or regional or whatever, between the two chinatowns (neither of which i've yet visited)? does one specialize in sichuan or taiwanese cuisines? the other in hainan and shanghainese? is there more a vietnamese influence in brooklyn? is one better for food shopping? dim sum? and just where exactly are each located? if i understand correctly, brooklyn's is in sunset park and queens' encompasses flushing -- but certainly, correct me if i'm wrong. are there specific subway stops that are recommended? is either suitable for wandering and foraging, or do i need to flesh out my objective ahead of time and plan/mapquest accordingly? thanks in advance. and of course, feel free to plug any of your favorites in either.
