I know people have complained about the mediocrity of most Montague Street restaurants but, for lunch, Henry Street is really the pits. Pig N' Out BBQ is awful, Cafe Henry is bad, Heights Falafel is not so great, and Cafe Cubanito is a mixed bag. I haven't even tried the horrible-looking Chinese place (Fortune House?) and pizza place (Fascati?). Henry's End and Noodle Pudding are both closed for lunch. The only semi-decent place I've found in that area is Palmira's, around the corner on Clark Street.
What's up with that?? In such an expensive neighborhood, aren't there enough customers to support one decent place? I truly don't get it.
