What do you hounds like at Bristol Farms?
To me, the whole place often seems like a gigantic price mark-up for no particular reason. I don't go there very often. But the "outer ring" stuff seems pretty good. Here are my observations:
--I think their deli counter and butcher shop are better than other supermarkets -- I've had really good luck with what I've bought there. Flavorful, tender cuts of meat, good whole chickens; tasty deli meat, some of which I can't find elsewhere
--Their bakery seems good, too, though I don't buy a lot of baked goods.
--Also the prepared foods are good, and the cheese selection seems good, though I'm absolutely no expert about cheese.
--Produce seems higher quality than a Ralphs, but I realize that probably isn't saying much
But for packaged goods or even "gourmet" items, seems you can get better deals just about anywhere else. What do other hounds think?
