I didn't realize i was working with a pre basted turkey until it was too late (the label said natural). I brined a 16 pound turkey for 24 hours in a solution of 1.5 cups each of kosher salt and brown sugar.
Looking at my ingredients list, it says my turkey was injected with up to 15% solution of "turkey broth seasonings" with the first ingredient listed being salt.
I currently have placed my turkey in a plain water bath, and I have about 23 hours max to undo any damage before i need to cook it. any help would be appreciated!
