Brick Cafe - feh

Went to the Brick Cafe on Saturday based on its exterior cuteness and a couple of good marks it has earned here and elsewhere. The weird thing was, all of the main components of the dishes were cooked to perfection -- the mussels were perfectly plump, the scallops tender, the lamb juicy inside with a nice char, but there didn't really seem to be any seasoning besides salt on anything at all, not even a hint of wine in the mussels or any evidence of seasoning at ALL in the seafood pasta special besides a couple of out of place leeks sprinkled here and there.

Nothing to write home about, especially for $50/pp. The menu and list of specials did seem suspiciously long; maybe if they cut down the list they could focus on making something good.
