Using Bresaola for Creamed Chipped Beef

I'm home alone and feeling in need of comfort food. I have an odd craving for Creamed Chipped Beef on Toast (yes that is SOS). and went out to buy the dried beef. After visiting two supermarkets the only thing I could find that was close to what I remember as "chipped beef" is Bresaola. Do you think it will work? Or should I just make some nice crusty bread and settle for an antipasta sort of dinner?
