Breakfast in Baltimore - Blue Moon Cafe report

Ellen | Jun 6, 2004 06:44 PM

Despite the rained-out ballgame yesterday (dang it), all was not lost for my trip to Baltimore this weekend. This morning we had breakfast at the Blue Moon Cafe & loved it!! Seated after 35 minutes (allowing time for a stroll around Fells Point), we enjoyed an EXCELLENT brunch. I had the crab/tomato/cheddar benedict with hash browns; the combination of crab & egg was divine! Also those are the best version of shredded potatoes I've ever eaten. Husband got the mexican scramble; more meat than I usually eat but quite tasty. My parents shared more traditional breakfast fare: pancakes, eggs (my mom said the scrambled eggs were perfect), and biscuits-n-gravy. Biscuits were another highlight - big & very fluffy. The funky/cozy/relaxed atmosphere is just right for brunch too.

We will be back!
