I need to squeeze truffled mushroom ravioli in as a side dish. Could this be pulled off with braised short ribs and polenta? Too much starch? I thought both seem earthy enough, but as a vegetarian I'm not the best at pairing meat with other items. By the way, this is as an entree offering at a spring wedding. I was hoping to have fried chicken as the other meat alternative, and I would prefer for that to be with served with something like corn pudding and roasted potatoes with garlic. We wanted some home-y options.
