Braised Potatoes - ATK

Has anyone tried this recipe for braised potatoes from America's Test Kitchen? The video is still available for now. It's the final segment of the show.

I made them last week, but mine stuck to the pan in a pretty bad way. I was pretty disappointed as I usually don't have such issues. I followed the recipe closely, but I was using a stainless steel pan, and it seems they have a non-stick. I suppose this could have been the problem, or not enough butter? Maybe I need to increase the butter amount if using stainless steel?

The potatoes were still good, just didn't have the nice brown crust... since it was still in the pan! I'll try them again to see what I can do. Just thought I would see if anyone had used this recipe.
