Boylan's Mash: A Water Drink

lipoff | Jul 19, 2009 04:23 AM

I ran into a lightly carbonated, lightly flavored water drink called "MASH" the other day. I found it in, of all places, the 7-11 on Main Street near MIT. It comes it four flavors: lemon peel ginger root, grapefruit citrus zing, pomegranate blueberry, and mango and blood orange.

I had the lemon peel ginger root and it's really terrific. Not too sweet, not too carbonated, but a touch of acidity and a touch of sweetness and nicely balanced flavors.

I have not been a fan of Boylan's other drinks --- cane sugar or not, they just aren't good. But this was terrific. I plan to go back and try the other flavors. There is a very little bit of information on this website:

Have they been seen in other places? Preferably somewhere a little cheaper than the $1.99 per bottle at 7-11!
