I just wanted to drop this thread into the mix... to share my thoughts.
We went to Michael Mina's restaurant, Bourbon Steak in Aventura, a few months ago. We're both fans of Michael Mina and this restaurant re-affirmed our affinity for his food. The decor is very chic and the food (and service) was outstanding. A lot of things were served in threes (his signature) and it made for a brilliant tasting experience. We recently visited Michy's and Michael's Genuine and, our experience at Bourbon Steak was commensurate. Every time we argue the subtle differences between Michy's and Michael's Genuine (as we did this weekend at Michael's Genuine), Bourbon Steak gets thrown into the comparative mix.
I would strongly urge anyone to go and have the experience... it is really worth it. Not one dish was less-than exceptional.
