Here's another thumbs up for the burgers at this clean little sandwich shop. Today's special sandwich was the crab cake sandwich for $6.95, which I almost got, but then I saw the Bleu Burger ($6.75), with caramelized onions and blue cheese. I was not prepared for the size of this sandwich. It comes not on a bun, but on an 8 inch roll. You can get everything on it which includes mayo, mustard, lettuce, tomato, sliced dill pickles, and a balsamic vinaigrette sauce. It can indeed feed 2 people. I didn't get chips with it, but hardly needed it. It was juicy (I asked for medium) and I could only eat half. I think it is very close in taste and quality to my memory of the Father's Office burger in Santa Monica. The bread is a little softer than I would prefer, but certainly soaks up the juices well. Next time I'd ask for it toasted. For those who don't want beef, they also serve turkey burgers.
They also have salads, which aren't listed on the take out menu. The burgers and sandwiches range in price from $5.45 to 6.95, with only 2 items priced at $7.50 - the "My Favorite" which has roasted chicken, pepper jack & roasted peppers on foccacia bread, and the BLT & A burger, with bacon, lettuce, tomato & avocado.
Thanks to Katya and others who recommended this place, I'm glad I tried it.
