I had lunch at Fang yesterday in SOMA - I ordered the beef bao, which was two little bao sandwiches filled with beef. The little sandwiches were tasty (but on the small side), and they were served with a cold bok choi salad. I was pleasantly surprised by this salad - I'm not sure exactly what was in the dressing, but I think it included Sichuan peppercorn, vinegar, cilantro, and some slightly sweet ingredient. Although it was just vegetable, it reminded me of the dressing on some types of Sichuan cold noodles. I really liked it, and I didn't check the menu carefully enough to see if it's available as a side order too.
