BLT Market: Over-priced and disappointing

My wife and a group of friends went to BLT Market on Saturday evening and it was one of the least inspiring meals I've had in a long time. The "hyper seasonal" concept doesn't really make its way to the food itself and the prices are on par with Per Se. Ridiculous given that I had to send a NY Strip steak back because it arrived charred to perfection..assuming you ordered it shoe-leather well. The manager actually said that it was "borderline" (I ordered it medium RARE) but that he would bring a new steak. Are you kidding me?

The wine list is over-priced and offers very little below $60.

The waiter was snotty when we opted not to order appetizers.

I don't mind high prices if 1) the food is extraordinary and 2) the service is immaculate. BLT Market didn't meet either of those criteria in my opinion.

Just another over-priced, mid-town restaurant.
