Do I need to blanch fresh shelling beans before freezing?

Hi everyone,

I bought a bunch of fresh shelled beans (a mix of pinto, cranberry, etc) at my farmer's market- more than I can cook right now. I would like to freeze some. Do I need to blanch them before freezing, or can they go straight into the freezer?
