Does anyone know what the deal is with the Steak Specialist (think that's the name) on Bayard Street across from New Green Bo? I'm really, really curious. Some menu items: Beef Stroganoff with Spaghetti, Macaroni in Soup with Ham or Chicken, Pastrami and Rice, Curry Chicken or Beef with Spaghetti, Lamb "Brachett"...it goes on and gets worse. Is there any frame of reference for this kind of, er, fusion? Some story behind it? I passed this place again yesterday, and I must admit that I'm now kind of obsessed.
